Kate Veinot

→ 1998:
At 9 years old, Kate won the LHC Beginner Division 12 and under on her large pony, Royal Spirit.
→1999:
Kate took a stab at western riding and ended up champion for the season riding various ponies she trained herself.
→ 2000: Royal Winter Fair Small Pony Division
Placing 3rd in the hunter over fences class, Kate finished 8th in
Southwestern Ontario in small pony hunter for the season. She also showed Trillium for 2 years in small and large pony divisions..
→ 2003: Wood Acres Schooling 3’ Jumper Champion
Kate outgrew ponies after a quick growth spurt and moved on to her mentor’s horse, Sport, a 15.3 hh, 23 year old anglo-arab.
→ 2008:
After taking a break from showing while in high school, and bringing up her own horse, Ozzy, Kate took a part-time job teaching at LETC while she was at college. She gained terrific experience teaching beginners to intermediate riders the essential skills of dressage (“training”) and later, how to use these skills in jumping and cross country.
Training:
Kate has her C1 level Canadian Pony Club, which qualifies her to instruct beginner students. She highly recommends Pony Club to her students, and will assist them in passing all testing requirements.
Kate has ridden with coaches such as Michelle Pisters, Tracy Roberts, Jeff Rundel, Judy Henderson, Daryl Kinlin, Shirley Pattinson, Karen Bowering, and Donna Lamb.
Also attended clinics with Andrew Pocock, General Gutowski, Stephan Von Schalburg, Chris Delia and Ian Roberts.
She constantly upgrades her skills by participating in lessons and clinics. She is currently working on a BA in Commerce through Nipissing University/Fanshawe College. She will be showing her own horse this year at local events and London Dressage Association shows, as well as other horses currently under training for clients.
